keena cutting the tree down

perspective...

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

Ready to go mama

On our way to the gym we go. Quin do you have everything you
need? This is what Quin was walking out to the car with as we were
leaving to work at the gym one day. I just had to grab the camera because I was cracking up...still am. He had about six purses, so funny. I decided to leave all the purses behind and he was ok with that.

Our Thanksgiving 08

I love Thanksgiving! Not only because of the great food either..really. I get so excited thinking about what I am thankful for. " Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life" Very well said Miss Beattie. When we choose to have a mind full of gratefulness it brings so much clarity to life. Clarity in who we are here for, what we are here for, and it teaches us how to have peace and joy through the hard and confusing times. In remembering what Jesus has done for us how can we not be grateful. Life at times will bring unpredictability, unplanned stress, heartache, and headaches. A life with Jesus brings unconditional love, forgivness, joy, peace, guideance, hopefulness and wholeness...always right to the core of our circumstances. We are too blessed to be stressed!

Thank you to my Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dan for being such wonderful host. I am amazed with how my Aunt Jenny puts together the decor for the holidays. It was just so cute! I wish I had gotten a picture of Dan and Jen together, but I simply did not get around to everyone :( It was also great to see Aunt Lisa and Asa for dessert.

Great Company

Grandma Rita and Grandpa Paul
They are so cute!
I love my Grandmas smile.
Giving kisses goodbye
A few of the party. We loved time to chat with Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Allen, Rhianna, and Todd. Congratulations on your engagement Rhianna and Todd!!!....finally:)
Keena and my cousin Daniel had a good time playing together. What a sweet picture.

Thanksgiving picture Attempts

Keena and Quin rockin out. It was so cute to watch them together.
Ohhh...boy does this take patience. Trying to get a photo of my kids together is beyond a challenge. When it works out I can't explain how excited I get.
Almost perfect! Ok, Keena get closer, hug your brother.
Quin look over here, smile. No, get closer Keena...uhhhh. Exhausting.

More on Thanksgiving day..

my brown eyed boy
We found out Quin LOVES animals, especially cats.
He was entertained for hours with this cat

My girl allowing me to catch a shot of her. She seems so matured in this photo.
Where did my baby girl go?

Photography practice

This is my daughter taking pictures of herself. I had no idea she had taken these until I went to transfer my photos to the computer. I laughed hard! Interesting portraits my girl.

Smoocher...

Quin on a mission, running to give out kisses. I was lucky to be the one to revieve that one right after I snaped this shot. Ohhhh... he melts my heart. This boys curls and pucker should make headlines. Speaking of my little smoocher(thanks for the nick name Grandma Beugli) When we go to the Gym to work we walk in and Quin shouts "HI" to everyone he makes eye contact with. When we leave he puckers up to those behind the counter waving goodbye to us. Even when we are in the childcare room, parents are leaving with their kids and he puckers for the parents. They just adore it and Quin stands their with his pucker until a kiss is recieved. Don't you just love it when people are ooooing and goooing over your kids. I do and I know why.

You make me laugh

This is Keena getting ready all by herself. She would totally leave the house like that. Ok, I strive to allow my kids to express themselves and develop independent skills...but this is taking it a little too far Keena girl.

Nap time can be such a battle sometimes. Keena is reaching the point of possibly not needing a nap....possibly. It's hard to say she is done with naps because I love a little time to me, myself, and I. Anyways, one day we were playing the nap battle but all was good, she was in her room and quiet. I go to check on her and this is what I find. I never knew nap time was so productive. So, I laughed and took this picture... end of story.

Daddy's girl to the extreme

B4 Halloween- Keena was very sick with Croup cough and slight pneumonia. Boy was it horrible. I have never heard anyone cough like that and it was constant. It seriously almost drove me crazy. I felt so bad for her. On this particular night Ham wanted to help Keena with her cough by being outdoors in the fresh air. They decided to sleep on the tramponline, this is not the first time. I know keena feels so secure with her daddy. I beileve this experiacne is such an adventure for her and she just loves it. They both make it all night on the trampoline. A moment she will remember. Anyways, she made it through the night without coughing so much, yay. I had to share this pic cuz it's just so stinkin aborable. They glow with joy when they are together. I love them...I love their relationship.

Halloween 08

Ohhh...and there is more!

Halloween 08 and there is more...

OK, the embarrassing story is this- I thought Quin was wearing a bear costume the whole night and then realized after everything was over and done the costume is in fact a dog. That costume barley fit him, but I wanted him to be a bear so bad. You get it, right...he's my little teddy bear. Anyways, I was walk'in a dog the whole night. Bears do not have long tails, nor do they have long ears. See, I wanted him to be a bear so bad, I imagined this costume was a bear. O well, either way, he was a cute something.
Thank you Auntie Jill for making Keena and Quin the adorable candy bags. Sooooo cute!

Halloween 08

Well, the pics speak for themselves. My kids are fricken awesome. Ok, I'll tell one story. We were in Costco, Keena wanted to check out the Hulk costume...yes, that's my girl under there. So I get it down and think she just wants to look at it, right. By the way I had planned for her to be snow white. So, I am trying to find a comstume for H5 and Keena says, "mom, I wanna be the Hulk." I didn't believe her. So I pull down one of the princess outfits with lots of sparkles and such and say as I hold them side by side, "Keena, which one would you rather be, this one with the pretty flowing dress and sparkles or the Hulk. She says, "ummmm....the Hulk. To my surprise I was truly impressed! Like I said, fricken awesome! She's going to play football with the boys one day, I just know it. SoI call Ham as we are in Costco to let him know his DAUGHTER chose to be Hulk for halloween. (by the way, Hulk was Hams idol growing up-there is even video of Ham doing "the hulk".) What are the chances this would happen. Talk about a daddy's girl. Anyway, Ham is all about it and thinks it's the best choice ever. So as Halloween aproaches I decided to girly the costume up a bit just so it would be known there is a girl under that mask. I bought the tank $2, cut it up(the torn effect, you know) and put rhinestones on it for a little kick ass glamor. :) Ya, well, that's as far as I will ever go in costume enhanceing or making for that matter. I love how you can see her six pack through the tank. Did a little trick or treating, just enough for the kids to be thrilled. Quin was so adorable walking up to people's houses. He tryed to go into each persons house....just like his father- can't just take the candy and run...couldn't just say hello and walked on...oh no, let's go in and tell them our whole life story. OK, ok..JK- that's for you hunny:) I am actually quite amazed with my husbands ability to make small talk. However, there is a time to talk and a time to take the candy and just say thank you...that's it. Later that night we went to my parents church and they had an amazing carnival with games, prizes, cotton candy and even a pony ride. That was a blast for keena and me to watch her. Note there is no pics of that cuz I forgot my camera. I had a hole in my stomach the whole time for forgetting it. I so badly wanted pics of the fun. By the next day, Keena forgot about her candy and still has not asked for it...that's my girl.

I just love him! Oct. 31 08

These are just random pics. However, to me, his mommy, they take my breath away. Isn't it phenomenal how we see our children as the most beautiful, most fascinating, most precious little people on this earth? We are seriously that amazing to Jesus. I sometimes see parents with 5,6,7 kids maybe and wonder how we could love each one as if they were our first child. Of course we'd love them deeply, but could that same love abound. Our first and even second is just such a brand new experience we feel love for every hair on their head, every mark on their body, and even their over sized ears. Then I realized God created each of us so unique for his glory, that to him we are just as precious as the next and those before us. Each of my children are one of a kind and I love it all.
